TOM
Tom Dolan plays bass for Stone Gato.
Born in Baltimore, MD, Tom began his musical career at the age of 16 in a rock and roll power trio, and has since gigged with groups playing Jazz, Funk, R&B, Blues, Folk, Celtic, Hip-Hop, Latin Jazz, GoGo, and Classical. Tom is thrilled to get back to his beginings as a bass player by rocking and rolling with The Godinez Brothers, Inc.
Tom considers his great uncle, Charles Mingus, to be his primary influence and reason for picking up the bass. Other players who have shaped Tom‘s style of playing include Francis “Rocco” Prestia, D'Angelo, and Avishai Cohen.
Tom plays two G&L L-2000 electric basses, one fretted and one fretless, as well as a Stradivarius remodeled upright bass. Look for any one, two, or three instruments in Tom’s hands at your next evening with Stone Gato.
Tom is endorsed by G&L Guitars. Look them up at
