JAVI
Javier (Javi) Godinez was born in Guatemala City, and later moved to Silver Spring, Maryland in 1990.
Javi has been playing the violin for over 12 years now and was trained classically for 8 years before deciding to ditch the orchestra scene and move into rock.
He learned how to adapt his violin style into funk and developed a unique style that involved a percussive pizzicato (plucking of the strings).
Javi played electric violin and sang harmonies in the known regional band, Lloyd Dobler Effect, for four years, and now has decided that it is time to branch out and start Stone Gato with his brother, Rod. His main interest as a co-founder of Stone Gato is to reform today's conformed music scene.
As a human being, his goals are to endlessly play music and to try to help many of today's problems.
